Cecil Carter

Cecil Carter is currently the director of The San Antonio School of Jazz. He is also an adjunct faculty member at St. Mary University, teaching Jazz piano. Cecil also formed ACRC Productions, a company that produces musical scores for film and commercials.

His formal musical studies began at the University of Texas in 1963.

His studies and performances continued in Europe and Asia during a career in music in the Army Band program. His duties at that time consisted of performing, arranging and composing. He later became the musical director of the Third Army Solider Show allowing him to polish his arranging and compositional skills.
